Reading:
Jude 1:1-25
“And to present you
faultless before the presence of His glory” Jude 24
My soul, here before you is presented the greatest
miracle that the Triune God has ever accomplished. Your salvation from death
unto life is beyond understanding; that God, who is holy, righteous, and
without fault should love you beyond measure and preserve you as His own,
surpasses wonder. To create you as a new creature in Christ Jesus and present
you faultless before His all radiating glory is, without question, among the
greatest miracles an all-powerful, all-knowing, omnipresent God could
accomplish. This is not to place any limitation on God, but it stretches your
finite mind to the very horizon of its ability.
You, born in sin, at enmity with God, and clothed in
the putrid garments of your unrighteousness, has, by the grace and ability of
God, been made into a being capable of standing before His all-piercing
holiness, and declared faultless. Not one sin can He find in you. You are pure,
fully righteous, holy and without fault.
“These were redeemed from among men, being
firstfruits to God and the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for
they are without fault before the throne of God” Revelation 14:4-5.
Just as your Savior stood untainted before the glory
of His Father and His work on earth accepted, so you, my soul, will stand
before that same glory and be declared without fault.
“I watched till thrones were put in place, and the
Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His
head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning
fire; a fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand
thousands ministered to Him;
ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was
seated, and the books were opened” Daniel 7:9-10.
Note the description of God in this instance, “garment
white as snow, hair like pure wool, throne a fiery flame” all speaking of His
holiness and purity.” This is the same holiness before which you will stand and
be declared faultless. How this should amaze you each time you contemplate your
condition in Christ, for that is your position—in Christ. You are hidden with
Christ in God. That is where God sees you, and, in Him, there is no fault.
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those
things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set
your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For
you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is
our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory” Colossians
3:1-4.
Worthy
of praise? For
ever. Amen.
